Ellen sang with us for over 10 years as a member of Aspiro Inspired. She was a unique individual, a spirited character with a wonderful sense of presence. She has this extraordinary ability to light up our rehearsals every week. We caught a glimpse of life through Ellen's eyes - a life full of singing and hope, a life of willingness and courage, a life of fun and laughter. Thank you for singing with us. We will miss you dearly Ellen, may you rest now in peace.

Lots of symphaty

It is with great sadness that I hear of the passing of my aunt Ellen. She will be dearly missed by all in the family. I have many great childhood memories with Ellen that I will cherish forever more. A special condolence as well to my mother, Brigid, as well as to the rest of the family who have lost a great friend, a great sister, cousin and aunt. As well as that, I would love to commend Ellen for her strong work for decades to further the fight for worker and women’s rights, she has been an inspiration to us all.

In loving memory

I got to know Ellen through Aspiro Inspired (now Carlow Community Choir). Our choir was very important to Ellen and Ellen was very important to our choir. We will miss her presence with us on a Friday morning.

Unfortunately, I could not attend her funeral mass on Tuesday due to Covid. Looking at the mass I thought the two choirs and Mary Amond did her proud. Ellen's spirit shone through and I hope you found some comfort in knowing how much she meant to so many people. My sincere condolences to her family and many friends. May she Rest in Peace.
