Elsie Perdisatt

I remember - way back in the 1970s/'80s - when Elsie worked in the Research Department of the FWUI and I was in the one in the old ITGWU. She mirrored our work there and keep a tight link between the two unions until the merger in 1990.

I knew her personally only very briefly but was very much aware of the tremendous work she did and how well regarded she was in SIPTU.

A lovely lady, enjoyed many a nice chat with her over the years. May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Elsie's passing. She was a lovely lady that I got to meet in Liberty Hall after the merger of the ITGWU and FWUI. My deepest sympathy to the family on your sad loss.

My sincerest condolences to the Perdisatt family and all those who mourn the passing of Elsie. I had the extraordinary privilege of working closely with Elsie for many years in the former FWUI. She was a superb colleague with a great sense of humour. I shall miss her deeply and treasure the many great memories of our work as a team together.

Jack, Ann & Paddy, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss, particularly in such a short time after Aidan's passing. I felt like I knew Elsie because Aidan spoke about her a lot, particularly in recent years. I have no doubt that he is looking after her again, showing her the ropes and so on.
