Such a sad loss for us all! Emer such an inspirational lady who led by quiet, selfless example. She always thought of others and was so kind and thoughtful. She knew everybody in the area and everybody loved her. She was the heart of the Beaumont community – she always had time for anyone she met. I was honoured to have Emer as a dear friend and a St Fiachra's colleague for many years. I will miss her so much. Offering our deepest sympathy to Brendan, Michael, Brian, Pádraic, Róisín, Cora and the Moran, Sweetman and McCannon families.

Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis. Go raibh solas na bhfleabheas agus leaba i measc na naomh aici.
— Rita Coleman & Donal, James, Maria & Grace Doolan
May Emer rest in eternal peace, a reward for ALL her good deeds.
A beautiful church reader over so many years.
Her goodness & willingness to help others was always evident.
Always in our hearts.

Sending sincere condolences to the family. Emer was my neighbour as a kid, and my teacher (I think I was in her first official class when she became a teacher) when I was about 9/10. She was so encouraging & kind to all of us. She really championed my creativity & gave me a Celtic cross pendant when my family were emigrating to Australia when I was a teen. I hadn’t seen her for years but still thought of her sometimes & could easily recall her voice & joyful smile. I was very sad to hear of her passing. I hope it brings some small comfort to know how loved she was and how far her influence reached. Rest In Peace Emer.
— Maria

All Emer's friends in the art group were shocked and saddened by her passing. We will greatly miss her cheerfulness and humour and her quiet support for those who needed it. We saw her artistic side, but only learned at her funeral service of her other qualities and interests that she kept modestly hidden. What a lady!

I first met Emer 30 years ago when she was involved in the parish team who prepared my classmates and I in Mr O Connor's 6th class in St Fiachra's for our Confirmation. I then had the privilege to work alongside her briefly during placements and as a substitute teacher many years ago. She was a wonderful teacher and such a friendly lady to meet around Beaumont.
Emer taught my brother and cousins and we were all lucky enough to spend time with her at our cousin's wedding just 3 weeks ago. Her warmth and kindness towards us all after so many years is something that will stay with me.
My sympathies to her husband, children and extended family as well as to her colleagues and friends in St Fiachra's SNS.
May she rest in peace.
