So many fond memories of Emer growing up on Racecourse Road. Sweeney’s Field was next door to her and, between Sweeney’s Field and Green’s Field, down the avenue by Ryle’s across the road, we grew up in our own utopia. Emer was such a radiant light and you just couldn’t beat her in the card schools over which she reigned outside her own house. They just don’t come any nicer than this lady and time has not dimmed the radiant memories she has left us. Deepest sympathy to Brian, Grainne, Maurice and Deirdre. R.I.P.
