It was with much sadness that we learned of the passing of dear Emily. Our memories are many of Emily. And most go back to our childhood on 'the Grove' playing while Emily stood at the pillar watching on and chatting to everyone and anyone who passed by. She was beautiful in every way. Chatty and friendly, glamorous and perfectly groomed, laughing and always smiling, and loved all the children who were growing up altogether on 'the Grove'. She especially got on with our late sister Cliona. Our sincere condolences to Ken, Kevin and Emma and all your extended family. Mind yourselves and take care. Your Mum was the loveliest. May her gentle soul rest in peace always.

So many fond memories of chatting with her over the wall, chats when calling in to take Smoky for a walk, shop runs for Emily as kids and so many more – anytime I called to your door Emily, you always greeted me with a warm smile, a generous welcome and colourful chat, really made the time to ask how I was.

You were a wonderful neighbour to my mam Betty.

So sorry Ken, Kevin, Emma and family to hear about Emily. She was one of the first people I got to know in this job. I was welcomed and greeted with Joy each time I arrived. Aw Maaags. She would say. We had great chats about Belvo, Rugby . Her kids , my kids. First jobs , siblings . Plenty of laughs , tears of joy. She loved when she got something new.Loved a haircut.
Loved all her grandchildren. Stories of the cul de sac. Chats about life. love and heartaches. Chats about Fr Drumgoole back in the day. Her curly wurlys. Her humour and great knowledge. And bringing ashes on ash wednesday during covid . A lady of great knowledge and beauty inside and out. It was a great pleasure to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace in the arms of her heavenly family that left before her.
