My condolences to the whole family. I used to work with Emma and stayed in touch even after I left BSI. We kept saying we'll meet up but never got the chance again, I always thought we had more time. Emma was the funniest person with the best sense of humour. I'm absolutely heart broken and miss her every day.

I'm so shocked to realize the beautiful Emma has passed. I met Emma at BHOC, we connected on our parallel journeys. We were not in touch too often, which is why I was not aware of her passing at all. I'm so so deeply saddened by this. My heart goes out to you, and Joel, and you all left behind.

Eileen and Bob, I cannot even imagine your grief. It doesn't feel all that long ago since I babysat Emma, Brian and Stephen. I absolutely loved her and her brothers to bits. Dear Paul and Joel,

I’m so devastated to hear of your Emma’s passing, and am thinking of you both and your wider family during these difficult days.

I have very much enjoyed my chats with Emma in the past couple of years, which felt like a real meeting of minds. Emma had been such an inspiration to me in her approach to tackling her illness - her determination to have as much time with you both as possible. Her sense of humour, inquisitive mind and open heartedness will always stay with me.

Joel is Celeste’s birthday twin, and while we haven’t seen each other in years I hope we can stay in touch. I lost my mum when I was three and wanted to say that I’m here if I can help at all in any way, even if it’s much later down the line if Joel wants to discuss how it feels to lose your mum with someone who has been through it.

Emma was a friend to everyone in our class at MTU, you were always at ease in her company. I remember Emma always smiling and always warm.

I have fond memories of playing poker in the evenings after college, where she often took our money with a cheeky grin and a giggle.
