So very sorry to learn of Ena's passing. I have such fond memories of Ena from my days in the Bray Head. My sincere condolences to Jonathan & Derval and all the family. May she rest in peace.

Much love and sympathy to Ena's children, grand-children and brother and sisters. She was so warm when she was talking about you. I'll always remember her kindness, the way she always welcomed me and us with her bright and fine and gentle smile, form the first day I met her in Cabinteely in April 1988, along with Jonathan -who had been so helpful too!- to last August in a respite center in Blackrock where she was recovering. My family and I belong to the big and fortunate family of people who had been welcomed again and again in Bray hotel, staying a few days for delicious days and talks along with Ena and John, then with Ena, in the deserted pub, where she would always lit a fire. My children, whom she saw growing up almost every year, and their fathers, loved her as much as I did. I always repeated thank you several times when we were leaving, I can't but do the same now. Thank you Ena for everything, for having been so sweet to us.

We are so very sorry to hear of Ena’s passing.

Ena was a remarkable woman who welcomed us so generously over the years at the Crofton Bray Head Hotel. Her kindness, humour, and no nonsense charm made the place more than just a location it felt like a home away from home.

We filmed there many times, and she always made sure we were looked after, often going above and beyond with a smile (and sometimes an eye-roll when we were getting in the way!). She’ll be fondly remembered by all of us who had the pleasure of working with her.
