Although I didn't know Eric, I am so sorry for Ruth's loss.
On behalf of the Johnston family (late of Watson & Johnson), I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Ruth and her family.

I first met Eric when I brought a side from Kilmarnock RFC to play Greystones in the 1990's. The hospitality and kindness that he gave to me and to my colleagues is unsurpassed. He was a lovely, witty, kind man who I have no doubt is safely in God's hands.

To Ruth and family. Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and a great friend to many. He will be missed by many. I have so many fond memories of the mischief he and my father, Diarmuid (Demi) got up too. RIP.
