Christine, My sincerest sympathies on your father’s death. Thinking of you and family at this sad time. Cherish the many memories of his long and wonderful life. May Eric rest in peace.
Dear Jean and family, I would like to say how sorry I was to read of the death of your beloved Eric. Thinking of happier times when Jean and I worked together and Eric was in the prime of life. May he rest in peace.
I was greatly saddened to learn of Eric’s passing. Helen, Heather and Karen join me in extending our deepest sympathy to dear Jean, Christine and Neil. I first met Eric in July 1960 when we arrived in Henley Park as newlyweds very ignorant of house maintenance etc. Eric was a fund of knowledge of such matters, not to mention, engines, gearboxes etc.. He also possessed every tool ever invented and very generously shared both knowledge and tools with his neighbours. His main sporting interest as a young man was motorcycle road racing and he rode on the Works Team of one of the Eastern European manufacturers. Later he took up snooker and served as a much missed Chairman of Taney Snooker Club.RIP Eric.
My sincere condolences to Jean, Christine, Neil and families. My early recollections of Eric was when Neil joined 20th Dundrum as a young scout. Eric was a constant support to us leaders, so much so that when asked to, he became Asst. District Commissioner South Dublin SAI, a role he filled magnificently.
He & Jean were always welcoming with such easy chats and a wealth of knowledge readily shared. An honour to have known - a gentleman always.
So sorry to hear of Eric's passing. Always a lovely gentleman. I was in RSA Insurance when Eric was there. Condolences to all the family.

Christine, my deepest sympathies to you and your family of the death of your Dad. These are difficult days for you and may the many memories you have help you through these times. May he rest in peace.
I’m so very sad to hear of Eric’s passing. Great memories going back from early childhood to the Friday lemon cake deliveries at No. 13. Rest in peace. Condolences Jean, Christine & Neil.
I grew up around the corner from Eric. He was my inspiration to compete in motorcycle trials in the 1960s. Eric was a great competitor.
I last saw him in Dundrum about 5 years ago, it was always a pleasure to meet up. Aubrey Flood
