Adam, Bernie and all Eric’s family. I was shocked to be told today of Eric’s sad passing. I have fond memories of the poor man having to do Deliveroo to Punchestown with lunches and goodies and ice creams etc. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this extremely tough time. ❤️

With great sadness I read of Eric's death especially so soon after his Dad.
I remember the lovely boy collecting his little sister, Heather, at St. Michael's N.S. in Limerick so many years ago where I taught. As with all his family, he was gentle, caring and always smiling...a picture I will carry in my mind always.

We were shocked to hear the news of Eric's passing. He had the plan tot visit Ghent coming summer with his family and we were looking so much forward to this reunion. i will always remember him as a fantastic colleague and friend, who was always looking for better prices...

Condolences to Eric's family. It only seems like yesterday when I was lucky to know Eric as a team mate and excellent second row on the Wesley college senior rugby team of 1973. A real gent, a friend to all in his year. My wife Karen Shannon remembers Eric and family as next door neighbours in NCR Limerick. RIP Old friend.

Eric was always a true gentleman. In the early 80's he wouldn't allow my then girlfriend Mary, to strap a huge stuffed Donald Duck toy to herself on the return from the Isle of Man through Belfast, it went into the van. Keep to the grey blur my friend. Paddy and Mary.

I didn't know Eric personally but watched him race many times. A fast and stylish racer who was a credit to the sport and clearly a hugely respected person. My sympathies to his family and friends. RIP Eric.
