My Deepest Condolences to Ernest's family, I loved playing golf with Ernie and have fond memories of him. RIP
Auntie Louise my deepest sympathy to you and the family on the sad loss of uncle Ernie. Words cannot express how you are all feeling at this difficult time. Fond memories growing up and looking forward to seeing you all arrive out to auntie Molly on a Sunday and us kids going wild while Dad and Ernie would slip out for a game of snooker which was another of his hobbies if I remember. Thinking of you all ❤️ Imelda & Nick
My Deepest Condolences to Auntie Louise & Family on the Sad Passing of Ernie🙏..Some Great Memories of Card Games & Banter in 75 & Visiting Your House-Rest in Peace Ernie🙏
I'll always have very fond memories of popping into Ernie in his garage on the lane in Harolds Cross with my siblings to play Darts and watch him work on the cars during our daily football games, he was a very patient and lovely man who had a lot of time for us growing up. He always looked out for us when we were playing in the lane and made sure we were safe. An absolute gentleman through and through.

Rest in peace Ernie.
Sincere condolences to all the Johnson family on the passing of this beautiful gentleman I had the pleasure of meeting for a short period of time. He was truly loved and admired and lucky to have such a great family. Sorry for your loss.

Ernie was an absolute gentleman. Played golf with Ernie and first met him about 45 years ago in his panel beating workshop.
We have lost a good one.
RIP
We lived up the road, or up the lane as we came to know ernie. Throughout our childhood we could head down the lane to see Ernie any time of day. He would drop his tools and whatever panel beating job he was doing to give us his time whenever we came and every single day without a cross word. We felt safe. And welcome. The tapestry of all of our childhoods includes vivid and quality memories with Ernie. I’m so sorry for your loss but I wanted you to know these things for whatever eventual solace it might bring that he was a great man and left an imprint with a lot of people.

God bless Ernie, till we see you again.
Sincere condolences to the Johnson family. I have very fond memories of playing with Ernie in the early days of BeechPark Golf Club. May he rest in peace.
Growing up on Tivoli Avenue, we always felt safe playing football out in the back laneway daily, because of Ernie. He was ever-present, working in his garage, and would always come out to check on us, and make sure no strangers would come along.

His presence was such a fundamental part of our childhood and I thank him for keeping us safe.

Rest in peace
