We're all very sad to hear of the passing of Essie. I have fond memories, growing up in the town park when Essie was coaching us along with her own children.
I can still hear her call my name when taking the odd short cut or chatting for too long. (Or sneaking the football out of the bag)
Essie and my Mam, along with the other coaches are all part of my fondest childhood memories.
She will be missed.
