Back in 1972 we had a community bonfire in the now Jerry O Sullivan Park. We needed a bonfire queen we looked around and we picked Esther she was perfect as a queen. May she rest in the arms of the Lord.Billy O Brien formerly chairman of Churchfield and gurranebraher development association.

I remember 40 odd years ago the Sunday afternoons we used to call to My Nan and Esther and if it was yesterday. Esther used to give me doggy treats to feed the 2 Yorkshire terriers just to make them stop barking. Like all my Dad's 6 sisters I used to love hearing their voices.
