It was with shock and sadness we learnt of Esther’s passing. Our deepest condolence to Brian, Louise, Siobhán, Joseph and the extended family. May Esther rest in peace.

Brian, Louise, Joe and Siobhain, it was with great sadness that I heard of the death of my dear friend, Esther. May she rest in eternal peace.
I met Esther many years ago in Lourdes, where we were working in the baths. We returned together there for many years and had such fun and made great memories. Esther was such a kind,caring and bubbly person.
She bore her illness over the last few years with such courage and was a source of great inspiration.
Sincere sympathy to you all at this terribly difficult time. Esther will be sorely missed by all who met her. Rest now with the angels, my friend.

I offfer you my prayers and deep sympathy at this sad time. Esther was a great friend, with a gentle spirit, a sharp wit, a genuine courtesy, a profound intelligence and a deep faith. Recently I lost my own mother and I was immensely touched by her condolences at that time. Too soon I have to offer reciprocation.
Over the three weeks since Mam died, the dominant and most wholesome hope comes from a gratitude for her life and a renewed appreciation of how wonderful it has been to have been formed and shaped by her legacy. I hope that will also be your gift in the strange and beautful strength that comes to us when we open our hearts to the new presence of our loved ones in the great memory of the Gospel.
May these sad days be touched by that strange and beautiful strength for you all. May Esther know the peace of Christ, with whom she walked so faithfully all the days of her blessed life.

Esther was a student in the Assumption in the 1970s. She is remembered as a very kind, humorous, dignified and diligent student. We have no doubt that she went on to become an exemplary wife, mother and neighbour. We are sad to hear that she has died so young.
