So sorry to hear of Ethel’s sudden passing. I worked with her for years in Cheeverstown. She was a lovely, kind lady with a good heart.

I was very shocked to hear of Ethel passing, she has been a very close friend and colleague for just short of four decades. Ethel was a very special person who I will miss dearly, her kindness and compassion was legendary. May she rest in peace.

I am so sad to hear of Ethels passing. I worked with her in cheeverstown many years ago and she always had time to listen and give advice .A lovely lovely lady .

Shocked and saddened to hear of Ethel's death. Met Ethel on our first day at school aged 4 and we walked to and from school together until leaving cert. On behalf of all of those who Ethel has cared for over the years, I would like to extend deep gratitude. She was a staunch advocate for those who had difficulty vocalising their needs and supported parents and families with gentleness, tenderness, clarity, absolute dedication and compassion. She trained in many modalities to support and advance her skills and played a pivitol role in enhancing the quality of life for those in her care. Thank you Ethel for all you have done over your many years of service. You will be greatly missed. Rest peacefully.

I heard earlier today that Ethel has died and I am so shocked and sad to think that she is no longer with us.I was her colleague for many years in St.JOGs in Celbridge and we battled many a challenge together. Ethel was so unassuming, she was kind,gentle and compassionate.She was a loyal colleague and so trustworthy and confidential. We became friends and our friendship endured after we retired. We had so many laughs over the years and enjoyed reminiscing about our time in Celbridge. Ethel loved her pets and her various dogs and cats were pampered and loved dearly.I am so glad that we became friends. I will miss Ethel, the long phone chats ,the whatts.app messages and the meet ups. I will always treasure the times we spent together and the lovely memories we created.Rest in Peace Ethel.

I was so sad to learn of Ethel's death, may she rest in peace. I have known Ethel since 1975 when she volunteered at Saint John of God School in Islandbridge. After qualifying as a nurse she spent her life caring for others and she is remembered fondly at Cheeverstown House and Saint John of God Services in Celbridge, Suzanne House, Drumcar and elsewhere. Mass was offered for the repose of her soul on September 8. She is now at peace with God in heaven.

I'm absolutely shocked to hear this news, I only texted Ethel today, I had no idea. I met her when we were in Cork together a few years ago and we've stayed in touch ever since, she was the sweetest kindest lady I've ever known. I just adored her. Very sad news, knew Ethel from 20 odd years ago..very pleasant character

I worked with Ethel in Cheeverstown house and then had the privilege of her taking care of my father before his death in 2015. She was deeply caring, dedicated, kind and conscientious, giving my father truly incredible care, as well as supporting the rest of our family, we we will be grateful for the love she brought to our family. Her smile will be with me forever Rest in peace dearest Ethel.

Ethel was a sweet, kind and generous person. She has left an empty space in the lives of those close to her especially Paddy and Philip and their families. Hopefully sharing memories of the good times you all had together will help with your grief. May her gentle soul now rest in peace.
