How lucky was I to sit next to Elma Kettle on a Chicago/Dublin flight 50+ years ago. Wasn’t long before I adopted the Savage/Kettle family - to know them is to love them.Thinking of you all, especially Kathleen and Elma. So sad to realize it’s the end of an era xx
Tara, Emily, Joe, Theresa, and Laura-

To Kathleen, Tara, Sean, Brigid and all your families and Ethna's friends: condolences to you all at this sad time. It feels like Auntie Ethna could live forever! Such a light hearted and funny lady. I am lucky to have got to know her over the years in Ireland and Polo.
And end of an era of the 10 Savage siblings who were such a part of the old Swords. The Swords accent was always there.

Sending prayers and condolences from your Chicago cousins on Lake Delavan, Wisconsin to Ethna's family. Ethna was the youngest of over 70 first cousins and the longest lived of all those Savage cousins. Whenever I was visiting Swords, I would visit Ethna. She always had tales to tell as well as a few good jokes.
I first met Ethna when she came to Chicago with my grandfather, Henry Savage and his son, Brother H. Patrick Savage, FSC in 1949.
Ethna was a wonderful cousin and great friend to the Savage's in Chicago. May she rest in peace.
