My sincere sympathy to Anne and family. My thoughts and prayers at this sad time.
Dear Anne and Claire
Thinking of you at this sad time and saying a prayer for Eugene. He was such a kind warm caring person and a great support for his sister Margot (my mum) and an inspiration for me. Sincere condolences to Anne, Claire & extended family on the sad passing of Eugene. He was a talented & knowledgeable Architect. His legacy lives on in the buildings & housing projects he designed in DLR & further a field. He was a man with a great sense of humour & witt that made me smile. He be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
Our sincere condolences to Anne and Claire on the passing of Eugene.
He was a truly committed Architect. Always striving to achieve the most out of any site. He left a great legacy of buildings in Dublin and Dun Laoghaire. I worked with Eugene on a number of projects in DCC but the one that stays most in my mind is Bride St Golden Lane opposite St Patricks Park in the heart of Dublin. It is quite common to see tourist taking pictures of this building with it's sculptures of the story of Gulliver's Travel in the roundels on the walls.
Thanks Eugene for all the help and your friendship.

Deepest sympathy to Anne, Claire and the extended Gribbin family. Eugene was larger than life and such good company to be with. Every time I pass the yellow brick apartments at the roundabout at Sallynoggin I think of him telling me all about building them. He will be missed on our walks in the park and at the beach.

Eugene was a great friend. We will miss his sound advice and ready wit. Eugene always left you in better form when he left than when he arrived. A great man for a cup of coffee and a chat. He will be missed.

We will miss his raucous wit and fiery red topped presence and hope the many happy memories shared help ease the grief and loss in the stillness of those darker days ahead . He would laugh at being legend - but he will never be forgotten ; and thank you Anne and especially Claire for those stories that brought us all joy - even if you didn’t know it !
