Your amazing apple trees and your Dads great vegetable garden and workshop filled with the scent of every sort of wood. He was an amazing Dad and such a lovely husband (with a cuppa tea for your mom every morning).
I am also sure an amazing grandad and uncle, if I only knew him as my best friends Daddy.

Condolences to Bernadette, Lorraine & Paul on the passing of your dear dad Hughie. He gave so much love and fun to all those that were blessed to know him. Lots of great memories with Hughie and his beloved Brigid in Dunboyne & Manor Street. Brigid made great gravy for Bernadette & Stephen's kids and Hughie sang the greatest of ballads with Theresa. He will always be remembered with love. Rest in peace Hughie with Brigid.

Bernadette, Stephen and Family - I am so sorry to hear of Hughie’s passing. I will always of fond memories of your dad and we had long chats about sport over the years. He was so proud of his family and his grandchildren, and followed their progress with great enthusiasm. Hughie was the true definition of a gentleman, who had great time for people. To Paul, Lorraine, Bernadette and all the extended Tully family - On behalf of the myself and all the McCabe family, your near neighbours on the Summerhill Road. I raise the Parting Glass to Hughie.
An inspiring man, loving father & husband to his wife the late Brigid.

Hughie was a constant loyal friend & neighbour, master carpenter and craftsman....and the best vegetable grower in Dunboyne.

He was always welcoming any time I dropped in on him in his latter years - Always willing to share many a story of a life well lived, and he was so proud of his three children and his grand children.

And above all, I will miss his local knowledge, of family names in the many town-lands around Dunboyne, his love of working with wood, and a passion for horse racing are unsurpassed.

Farewell Hughie, you will be greatly missed.

Dearest Paul, Bernadette and Lorraine, I was so sad to hear of uncle Hughie's passing. Please know that I am thinking of you all and send my deepest condolences and sympathy. There are very fond memories of the times I spent with you and your folks in the days when we were children, care free days of play and sunshine. Your dad was always a warm and gentle soul and a great family man and husband. It is particularly hard with the recent passing of my Dad and his brother Donal. I was very moved to see him in his time of fragility attending dad's reposing and funeral but this showed a man with great inner strength and a very devout family man. So sorry I can't be at the funeral for Hughie but please know that I am thinking of you all and that you are in my prayers. May he rest in peace and be reunited with your Mum and all his brothers and sisters, grannie and grandad Tully.
