So sad to learn of the loss of Uncle Eugene. Our deepest condolences to Aunt Anne, Deirdre and Eoin. As kids we treasured Eugene’s summer vacations to Hartstown when he’d hurl a sliotar in the field with us and his ruckus yarns would entertain our evenings. Meeting him outside Croke Park with dad was always a highlight of the year, especially if we did the business! Other occasions I would pop into the Harp for quick Fanta before getting the bus home from Busáras and he’d always slip me a few quid and wish everyone at home the very best. His vigorous character left great memories with us all and he’ll be greatly missed. We wish we could be there to share in your grief, as you were all there for our dad’s passing. Déanaim comhbrón ó chroí leat.

To Anne, Eoin & Deirdre, sending our heartfelt condolences and sympathies. We always loved when Uncle Eugene came to visit us in Hartstown, he was always great fun and loved the chat. Dad loved their Sunday evening chats on the phone debating the days GAA action or meeting at half time at a match in Croker.
