I only learned about Eugene's passing today while visting Dad in Dundalk. Eugene previously rented one of Dad's cottages in Cooley and I spoke to Eugene a few times. A gentleman. My sincere condoleances to his family. On behalf of Don Brassil and Anna-Marie, his daughter.

My deepest sympathy to all of Eugene's family and friends. I have many happy memories of him visiting our house when he was in Blackrock College. He was full of energy, laughs and mischief! Rest in peace Eugene.

I am deeply saddened and shocked Eugene is no longer with us. Taken away too soon. I will miss him dearly. I will always remember him for being so kind, funny and full of life. The world won't be the same without him. Sending my heartfelt condolences to all his family and friends.

I so sorry and shocked to learn of Eugene’s passing. A larger than life character with great energy. Eugene worked for me for a short while in 1990’s. With Eugene life was never boring!

I worked with Eugene in Belfast and Moira in the mid 2000s. Like others have written, Eugene was a genuine and intelligently humorous character who really left an impression. I have very fond memories of our car work trips to many locations throughout the North and a night or two out too. Halcyon days. I had looked forward to some day catching up and reminiscing with Eugene but not to be, sadly.

Great memories of school, college, J1 visa in Boston, football matches and so much more.
A thoroughly decent man, who enhanced my life by being a great friend to me. He will be missed.
