It was a privilege to attend such warm hearted funeral ceremonies filled with rightful honour and celebration of a gentle, fruitful, charitable life well lived, albeit at this time tinged with great sadness. Eugene will indeed be sorely missed but I hope his family can find solace in the fact that he is reunited with Laura in peace and that he was greatly loved and clearly touched so many lives in a positive way. I have the fondest of memories of Mr Murphy who was such a thorough gentleman. He never spoke about all the charitable work that he did during a lifetime of quiet 'under the radar' service to the Cork community but he was driven by very deep convictions. He was the type of man we would all aspire to being. Deepest condolences to Regina, Orla, Brendan and Rachel. He is at peace now with his beloved Laura.
