So sorry Jamie,my mam and all ogrady family,lou you taught me everything I know painting and decorating wood work and most of all you interduced elvis into my life when I was so young I was 10yrs old when you bought me my first elvis Lp which I still have and you always put a smile on everybody's face we had some crack from Thomas Street flat to the haven bar ma Riley bar the Desmond Arms bar cheers night club oh I could write a book and as you said it wouldbe best seller, so Eugene I say fairwell my best friend uncle I will sincerely miss you but I will see you again have a drink with my dad and uncle Tom up there may you rest in peace your nephew Dermot

My deepest sympathies to Jamie & family & to the extended O'Grady family on the recent & sudden loss of Eugene.
I will always remember having sleepovers in Thomas Street with him & my fairy Godmother when I was a kid. I used to watch him painting & being creative & remember all his Elvis memorabilia & I remember being fascinated watching the operation that was "him putting in his contact lenses''.
Eugene was such a great character & very funny. I'm glad I got to chat with him recently on the phone.
I will always think of him fondly when I hear Elvis, his idol.
