Deepest condolences to Kellie, Wayne, Keith, Marian, all the Roche and Treacy families on the sad passing of Eugene.
Eugene was a gentleman and he would always greet you with a warm smile whenever you'd meet him. We could always rely on Eugene for a lift home from the south disco in Tramore and Kellie convinced him one night to bring us all the way up to the top of Tramore to Cunninghams chipper for a late night snack and Eugene kindly obliged. I was lucky enough to get to go on one of the famous Roche/Treacy holidays to Turkey and still to this day it is a holiday I remember so fondly. Eugene you will be greatly missed. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

I always have great memories of when i used to stay over with eugene and the lads most weekends when i was younger. Eugene used to brong me out the back and tell me to look up at the stars. Then he would go on to tell me about all the aliens coming to see us. I wouldnt be able to sleep after it for a week haha

Another one, when we went on holidays and eugene got up to sing karaoke. He couldnt see the words on the screen and just start shouting "whats that say eh" and he started singing random words. Everybody was buckled laughing especially me.

He was so funny and gave me great memories.

We’ll always remember coming back to Ireland and being greeted in Abbey Park by Eugene calling us the ‘Bully Boys’. He always made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed his great sense of humour - Rest in Peace x

Eugene was such a big character with a big heart, he was always trying to please Marian. On a weekend to Killarney, we visited Kate’s cottage (a little pub at the foot of the Gap of Dunlop), Marian went on and on for about two days that she loved the Aran jumpers , in fact we were all fed up listening to her about it. Anyway, poor Eugene who only had his beer money for the weekend ended up buying her the jumper which in 1991 was about £80 and of course a song book and tin whistle for himself. He was so happy and excited to give it to Marian and when he did, she nearly killed him over spending HER money- her reaction was priceless. We were all in stitches because that was typical Marian. Eugene shrugged his shoulders, took out the new tin whistle and tried to give us a tune. I don’t know if Marian ever wore her jumper!

When I am gone release me let me go I have so many things to do and see. Do not cry for me in tears be happy we had so many years. I gave to you my love you can only guess how much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown but now it's time I traveled on alone. So grieve awhile if grieve you must. Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part so bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away for life goes on so if you need me call and I will come. Though you can't see or touch me I'll be near and if you listen with your heart you'll hear all my love around you soft and clear. And then when you must come this way alone I will greet you with a smile and a welcome HOME. All my love Kellie Wayne and Keith your DAD XXX

To kellie Wayne and Keith i have some great great memories of your dad Eugene inparticular when ever we would go to killarney the first shop we had to go to with Eugene was for hom to get a song book and a whistle and drive your mam mad for the weekend trying to play lol then when we would go to Turkey we would only be getting settled in and your dad would be like a local he know everyone in a few hours so so funny in my eyes he will always be my lovable rogue RIP EUGENE IM GOING TO MISS YOU SO MUCH ❤❤❤

Sincere condolences to the family, I worked with Eugene many years ago. I had not heard in time as I would have paid my respects as I am sure many of his work colleagues did.
