Sincere consolences to Monica and family at this sad time. I interviewed Eugene for his job in UCC and have nothing but good memories of our time working together. His ready sense of humour and that fantastic smile brightened many a day.

Such lovely fond holiday memories of all of us together. He has great company in heaven. So happy to know mum was there with you to bid him farewell. Always in our hearts x

Monica Desmond and Richard I am very sorry to hear of Eugene passing. He was always talking about ye with great love and affection. Of course his second love was Inniscarra GAA and many is the time he persuaded all Finance staff to buy GAA lotto tickets convincing us this will be our lucky week. Of course he always loved special occassions as nice treats were always at hand. I worked with Eugene for along time and his happy smile would always lift your spirits. Rip Eugene
