Eugene was a life long friend and I have many happy memories of our days working in London, playing hurling and our many chats.
I was always very welcome to his home.(Bring the biscuits!!).
He was a great character, full of fun, laughter and devilment. You would always find Eugene smiling. He was a kind man, with a big heart and a good word for everyone.
He may be gone but his memory will never fade. Clonaslee's loss is Heaven's gain.
Unfortunately we were unable to attend in person as we are abroad but thankfully we were able to view it online. The funeral mass for Eugene was a fitting tribute to great man. The singing was beautiful and everyone involved spoke so well.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
