Sincere condolences to Ciaran , Niamh , Sinead and all Eugenia’s extended family at this sad time. I had the privilege of first meeting Eugenia at the Gary Kelly Centre. Our small group met regularly and we laughed and sometimes cried together. Sadly covid prevented this over the past year. I will cherish Eugenia’s memory and I know her spirit lives on.

Hearing news of Eugenia's passing was a dreadful shock, she will be greatly missed. She was such a vibrant, and talented woman, and her passion and enthusiasm for art and creativity was infectious. You could see the joy it brought her to share that passion amongst others, and to encourage and promote the talent of local artists. It was an honour to have worked with her on many collaborations.

Ciarán, Niamh and Sinéad, I am so so sorry at your loss. No words are adequate at this time and yet that is all we have at this particular time. I only met Eugenia that one tragic time, but I count it as a privilege to have known even so briefly her warmth and generosity of spirit. I can only say what I say to myself, it is hard but good to remind ourselves, at times of such loss, how blessed to have had in our lives, even for too short a time, someone so special.
