Caroline, I just learned today of the very sad news that your beloved Mum had passed away. She was a great friend of my late Mum (Anna Coady) and growing up she was known to me as 'Aunty Evelyn'. Very fond memories of visiting her in Galway. My deepest sympathy to you and the family.

I met Evelyn during my evening visits to my mother at St Anthony's ward at UCHG in the weeks before Christmas.
My mother was in the bed next to Evelyn.
I used to turn up the telly for Evelyn when Fair City came on! She loved the soaps!

It was a great privilege to know Evelyn and I was shocked to hear of her passing. She was a such a lovely friendly and caring person.
