We would like to send our condolences for Evelyn along with an amazing memory that she was a part of in Cork. About 15 years ago, Our daughter Stephanie, son Jerrery, Roger and I brought Dorothy Higgins Quintan Stricker, my mother, back to Ireland. When we arrived in Cork, we met Tom and Catherine O’Riordan in church for mass on a Saturday night. After mass they suggested that we join them for dinner at the Cork Yacht Club. As we entered, a large group of Ireland relatives at a very long table, stood up and clapped!
we had the luxury of meeting Evelyn along with many other Irish relatives that traveled quite a distance in honor of my mother being there. At another table, John ORiordan‘s fellow yacht club members stood up to serenade our table with An Irish Ballad! Everyone there that evening made us feel that we belonged as part of the family! We had the opportunity to sit next to Evelyn and to experience firsthand, The kind loving woman she was! We are eternally grateful for these fond memories of Evelyn and Ireland !

I need to identify myself/I am Dorothy Quinlan Stricker,’s daughter. My husband and I and our daughter Stephanie and our son Jeffrey went to Ireland and brought my mother probably 12 years ago the most momentous event of the whole trip was when we went to dinner at the golf club in Cork and all Of the O’Riordan relatives surprised us and were at a very long table for dinner.What an amazing gift that was and we had so much fun! After the dinner we went to the pub because JohnRiordan ‘a yacht club members were there!And for the rest of the evening they serenaded us with Irish songs/it was heaven on earth!

Sending my condolences. I will forever remember Aunt Evelyn’s smile and grace. I have an Evelyn, now 14, and was expecting my Evelyn when I met Aunt Evelyn in Ireland. So grateful to have known her. So blessed.

So sorry to hear about Auntie Evelyn’s passing. She was such a sweet lady, always so cheerful and welcoming. I remember visiting her as a kid, and she always had the tea and cakes ready and a lovely laugh. We are thinking of you all, during this sad time and send out thoughts and prayers.
