Our sincere condolences to the Quinn family on the death of your lovely mother. May she rest in peace.
Deirdre, Diarmuid, Orla and Ronan, we were so sorry to hear of Evelyn's recent death. She was a great friend to our mother Fionnghuala over the years in Ardagh Park. She has been reunited with her beloved husband Seán and her son Donnacha. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dilis. Ceol na nAingil go gcloisfidh sí.

My Sincere Sympathies to the Quinn Family on the passing of your Mom, Evelyn.
Mrs Quinn gave me my first ever job as a cleaner in St John of Gods, Stillorgan in 1985 at the tender age of 18yrs.
She had a particular fondness for country girls ( I was from Co. Waterford) which of course she wouldn’t admit to , as she always reckoned we worked harder than anyone else!!
I was young and often homesick, which she observed very quickly and she duly accommodated me by rostering my days off together, so i could get home as often as possible.
She was a no nonsense lady, firm but very fair.
She saw potential in me and though it was to her own disadvantage , she encouraged me to broaden my horizons and continue through CERT into Accommodation Services Management. This I did, with her guidance and working in the hotel industry became my full time career. She even brought me back as a relief Supervisor to St John of Gods for a few weeks , so I could add it to my CV.
Believe it or not, I married an Ennis man and settled into a life in her beloved Co. Clare. She had nothing to do with this though!!!
So, today , I stand with you in your loss of a wonderful lady. Kind, intelligent, bright, funny and an interest in furthering the careers of her staff , above her own needs. She was of the old school and left behind a wonderful legacy…...that a lady who passed at 95yrs of age is remembered so fondly by the person whose life she shaped.
May she Rest in Peace
