Ewen Campbell

So shocked and saddened to hear of Ewens sudden passing. Have lovely memories of Ewen when living in New Jersey in our early 20's. He was one of the best.

Very saddened to hear about the untimely passing of Ewen. Having worked along with Ewen for a number of years in the Mount Errigal Hotel in Letterkenny back in the 1980's, I got to know him well, he was such a kind and happy person. When myself and Steven McMenamin decided to go to the States in March 1986, Ewen arranged for his Dad John to pick us up at JFK airport and provide us with accommodation in New Jersey, such a generous gesture. That same Summer Ewen came to stay for a number of weeks, we had a fantastic time in New York and New Jersey, great memories. Sincere condolences to John, Garry, Scott, Collette and the wider family circle. May he rest in peace

Ewen has been my best friend and brother since he moved to Beechwood at age 12. I can't pretend we didn't have Bernie, Liam and Josephines hearts broken with what we got up to, but it was always the 2 of us against the world. He was the kindest of the two of us and looked out for so many especially in America where he'd drive an hour to check in on someone from Letterkenny that was just out to the states. His big infectious smile would light up a room and his laugh sounded like static on TV at closedown. We had such great times. This is a pain i haven't felt since Mark's passing but IF there's anything after this life. I know you two will be having a laugh as he loved you too. Thanks for everything Ewen. Love you and miss you, and will forever

Ewen was a great friend and easy to understand with his lip reading and a great patient to me when I talking to him. He was a lovely man and I miss him already so may God bring his soul up into Heaven. RIP Ewen

We are so sad to hear of Ewen's death. He was a good friend to Peter during his time in the U.S. He used to visit us here whenever he was home, to bring us all the news, which we really appreciated. May his kind and gentle soul rest in the peace of Christ.
