So moved are we by the kindest words for Fan at home we knew he was a good man butBUT it takes hearing it from others to make us humbly thankful he was our brother...The Beautiful reflections sent me by our lifelong school friends brought comfort in the enforced separation that kept us from being at his side...A. Cruel Reality for anyone in this present situation and the sadness that. Will remain with us... I was moved To share the honest reflections from those whose heart spoke.... Thank God we were able to chat in his last weeks his memory was sharp and his voice is strong.....Consolation too. Dear Jean, Daniel and Sinead, Heartfelt condolences to you on Uncle Fanahan's passing. There was honestly no one else like him and no dull moment in his company. Sinead, remembering your support at Iain's funeral and so sad I couldn't repay your gesture. Hope to see you all again when the situation allows.

For me the soul has gone out of Carrickaroche without you there, Fanahan, my beloved brother. holding court on the tractor in the yard or in the kitchen, the most welcoming generous, kind hearted brother anyone could have. We are heartbroken we could not get home to see you before your last journey to Galbally But I have inner peace now you are released and free again to roam at will and I know at last you too are at peace as Jim would say " altogether with Mam and Dad and Nora and Uncle Ned."
