Felix (Brendan) O'CALLAGHAN

Today - 18/2/25 - would have been Felix/Dad's 80th birthday. It's been a sad day, filled with memories of what once was and won't be again but we're trying to 'Miss me but let me go' as he wanted.

Dad/Felix is simply irreplaceable and was utterly unique, a man of deep care for others, imbued with honour and acting always with loving intention for those most in need. He was some man for one man, an imperfectly-perfect and complexly simple soul who left a Light that will shine for many for a long time.

As a family, our load has been made so much lighter by the many kind, caring, funny and deeply heartfelt condolences on here and sent to our home - Dad's beloved 'Setanta'. As it has by our extraordinary friends and caring family members. Thank you, one and all for every loving word and deed in honour and memory of Felix/Dad. God bless and keep you all.

My condolences to Anne and family. I knew Felix from his time in Canada. Always had great laughs. He was one of a kind. He would love to point out what we in government were doing wrong and he was almost always right!!! God bless him.

Felix was a dear friend. We shared much of ourselves over the years when we belonged to the same group and fellowship in Toronto and celebrated many milestones along the way. My heart goes out to Anne and family. Felix was a very thoughtful man and his little gifts to me stay with me from day to day. The Irish Cross hangs over the entrance door to my lake house and the mug I have my coffee in has the Irish Blessing inscribed on it. I am grateful for the time we had. So sad to hear about Felix death. Felix was our cousin a great friend to my brother Seamus . Felix also very movingly acknowledged our tragedy at Seamus remembrance service. He recited a beautiful poem a Stolen Child by JB Yeates after the tragic death of our daughter Siobhan just 10 days before Seamus death.
