Deep sympathy to Fergal’s sister Aideen and her family. I met Fergal several times in recent years and had lovely chats with him about our old neighbours.

Saddened to learn of Fergal's passing. He was a true gentleman, and always such a pleasure to meet, right back to his Munster Arcade days, and up to relatively recently. My sincere sympathy and condolences to Aideen (my piano teacher in Rockboro Avenue many years ago), and to Fergal's extended family and many friends and acquaintances.

A true gentleman, treasures like Fergal are all too rare. It was an honour to know you, may you rest in peace.

I’m so very very sorry to hear about Fergal.

He was our next door neighbour in Rockboro Ave, and was an absolute gentleman. Only spoke to him 6 months ago.

Fergal and my late dad would have great chats about “the avenue”, over the garden wall. And solving the problems of the world!
It made me smile when re retold them in later years.
