Our sincere sympathies to Mrs Begley Annette and family on the death of Fergus.
We as cousins of the Begley family were always envious of the fact that they had a shop in Golden Ball in Kilternan. In the late 60s our parents subsequently bought a shop in Dublin. Many happy memories to cherish.

Mr Begley was a big part of our community in Kilternan and I have many fond memories of growing up there and visiting the shop.
Sincere condolences to Nancy and Annette on the passing of Uncle Fergus. I have very fond memories of visiting the shop in Kilternan with my mother Peggy when I was a child.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Begley, Annette and extended family at this very sad time. I have very fond memories of going to begleys shop for sweets as a child over 45 years ago, he was patient with all us kids while we asked the price of all the sweets in the shop before spending our 10p. He was a kind and gentle man. I will remember all the visits to his shop fondly the rest of my days.

Uncle Fergus was a real gentleman. As children we looked forward to our trips 'across the river' as he would say, to the shop in Kilternan. Where he dished out sweets and kindness in good measure, with gentle humour. Very sorry to hear. Our Sincerest Condolences to Nancy, Annette and family.

My fond memories are of Uncle Fergus being so happy and enjoying his birthday celebrations in Bray a couple of years ago and walking along Bray seafront with my Uncle Martin. Very sad to hear this news, Uncle Fergus was the last of that generation who were raised in that little shop in Kilternan, we all have great memories of our visits there in the fifties and sixties into the seventies and walking in the Abbey behind the shop too.

A wonderful man. Always in good form. Pleasure to have known him. I won a golf competition with him in Delgany GC and I still remember it as a fun time to share with him. He will be missed.
So sad to hear of fergie begley passing,,I first met him 51 years ago when I joined wayside as a 10 Yr old ,and while waiting on the 44 home to windy arbour we would slip into the shop,he became agreat figure and a great supporter of the club ,seems an age ago since he sold up and retired to bray.Thinking of Annette and Mrs begley may he rest in peace ,,great memories.
