I'm so saddened to hear of Fergus' death. He was such a good man. He brought a smile to my face everytime I interacted with him. He was a rare man. My prayers to his family. God is lucky to have him now!
Dear Orla,
The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)

In this hour of pain and grief my prayers are with you. May the Love of the Lord strenthen & comfort you and your family in this hour. I believe the saved will never be lost but live forever in Heaven and we will all meet when the Lord comes. Amen!
I can´t find the right words. It is so sad to hear what is happened and so hard to believe. My deepest sympathies to all the family and I wish the energy they need in this difficult time.
Fergus was one of the first people I spoke to at Dell when I joined 4 years ago. He was tasked with helping me get settled and navigate the organization and he did so with great humour. We then worked together on several occassions and he was always such a genuine and positive presence. It is a great loss and we will all miss you dearly Fergus. My thoughts and prayers go to your whole family.
Fergus was the first person who came over to speak to me when I turned up at an offsite in Montpellier on my first day in Dell 6 years ago - typical of his friendly nature.

We then ended up working together as online quality managers several years later, and I'll remember him for his sense of humour, and love of finding the absurd in daily office life.

I was so sad to hear the news, and my best wishes go to all the family.
Fergus you were a great person and family man. I feel I had the priveledge to get the know you. I will always remember you and all the fun we had during breakfast, lunch hours and work.

I enjoyed all of our conversations where we talked about everything from football to if U2 or ABBA was the best band.

Rest in peace Fergus, we miss you a lot.
I had the privilege to work with Fergus for five years at Dell. We seldom met, spoke mostly on the phone, but I have fond memories of every time I met Fergus in person. Fergus was a truly wonderful, warm and fun person. He was very proud of his wife and kids, he had so much love for his family and was glad to share it with colleagues and friends. I will always remember Fergus talking about his family with a big smile and spark in his eyes. My deepest sympathy to Orla and family in this difficult time.

It seems impossible to find the right words – this is so sad and still so hard to believe….
I got the pleasure to work with Fergus for quite a long time, starting years back when we’ve been a small European Online Team, and share some good memories with him.
He has been a hard worker, great colleague and always fun to hang around with.

I am wishing the whole family the strength they need in this difficult time.
Fergus was a great guy and will be always remembered and missed.

A wonderful person whom I had the honour of working with at Dell Cherrywood office. A person who brightened the office with his humble personality, his family talk and his football updates. Fergus, you will be missed. Rest in peace.

Dear Orla,

I was so saddened to hear of Fergus' pasing last week. While I did work with Fergus, its playing 5-a-side football with him that I will remember most about him. He was a great footballer and I had the pleasure of playing alongside or against him every week for a number of years. He was a pleasure to be around and made the games such an enjoyable experience. That joy and fun is my lasting memory of Fergus. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with you, and your children that he was so proud of.

Orla, all my thoughts are with you and your family.
While the loss of a loved one is never easy, even when anticipated, it is most certainly the hardest when they are taken from us so suddenly and far too soon. The recent loss of Fergus has left us in the category of those hard losses for which there is so painful a reminder of what might have been. Fergus was a great person and I had the pleasure to work with him.
My heart feels broken with the loss of Fergus. I sat next to him during my 3 months in Cherrywood. Much of my love for your beautiful country is due to Fergus’ welcoming spirit, wonderful stories about his large, yet seemingly perfectly sized family and his genuine kind heart. I wish your family strength in this time of loss and in the future. We are all better people for having known him. You will be forever in my thoughts & prayers.
During the 3 years I spent in Ireland, I was grateful for being to count Fergus as a friend, a trusted and insightful colleague, a staunch advocate for customers and employees alike. His family meant everything to him. The spark in his eye when he would tell me about one of his children's exploits at the previous day's soccer match or school event. Fergus was also very competitive, as I quickly learned when playing soccer against him!
I miss knowing that he is adding humor and caring to life in the Cherrywood, and can only imagine how much more he will be missed at home.
My heart goes out to all who loved Fergus and those he loved. May he rest in peace.
Deepest condolences, may God bless you and your family.
Fergus was a very caring person, always full of smiles and passion for work and family. We pray that Fergus' soul is now with God and that his beloved family, including little Isaac that'll soon join, will have the strength and faith in this very difficult time. Fergus is definitely looking after you all in heaven and praying for you all the time.
Orla and family,

My deepest sympathies and prayers are with you all. While words cannot take away the pain, I hope they provide you comfort in the days and years to come.

I sat next to Fergus at Dell during my time in Ireland. His bright eyes and fun stories he told of his family showed the love he had for you all. Please know he is smiling down on you and with you in spirit. God Bless.

Dear Orla & family,

My deepest condolences to you and your family. I used to work with Fergus a long time ago, when we were a very small European online team. He was hardworking and always willing to help the others. I have very good memories of Fergus like when the whole team was visiting Montpellier and South of France. My thoughts are with all of you in this tragic time.
I knew Fergus for a little over 3 years while working together with him and found him to be the nicest, most genuine guy around, who possessed a deep empathy for people around him. I knew if I approached Fergus for help I wouldn't be disappointed. And on countless occasions he did exactly that. I will miss him.

My deepest condolences to his family, and to all those who considered him a friend.
Sincere Condolences to you all. We are all praying for you.

Dear Orla and Family,
I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss and wanted to convey my heartfelt condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones in this difficult time.
My heartfelt sympathy to Fergus' wife, children, parents and siblings. I have only for a few months had the joy of working with Fergus but he will be in my memory forever. I will never forget his amazing work ethic, his commitment to getting things done right, his pleasant accent when speaking with him over the phone, and his warm humour. Fergus has touched so many people. He will be deeply missed.
I Knew Fergus for only the last 4 years - and a gentler, kinder, more thoughtful character I have yet to meet in Dell. Others were forever in foremost in his mind. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

I read the following very famous poem at my own father's funeral many years ago - and it has a comforting message that may help.

Will miss you Fergus.

Remember - by Christina Rossetti

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
Dear Orlagh, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I just want you to know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
God bless.
My deepest condolences to you and your beautiful family Orla. I had the privilege to work with Fergus over all the years he was with Dell and I can say quite honestly that he was the most sincere, most genuine person I have ever met. Thoughtful and committed to his family, his work and his faith - a true, true gentleman.

Having heard everything that was said at the Service yesterday, clearly Fergus was an example to each and every one of us and we can only hope to come close to the high standards that he set in everything he did.

Most of us can only guess at the emotions you and the children must be experiencing, but rest assured that our Prayers and our Thoughts are with you all both now and in to the future.

Fergus will be dearly missed by everyone who was lucky enough to know him – he was unique and a very special person.
