I first met Fergus when he moved to the Finance Dept not long after i started in DCC.  As a supervisor he was great, lots of good practical advice & great craic. I would sometimes fill in for him & let DLAGS members know their tee off times for their next outing 😂

We kept in touch after i moved Dept. & i was happy for him when he told me his retirement plans over west which unfortunately were cut short. 

I'm still laughing at some of his stories & one-liners.  Rest easy big man ⛳

Sincere condolences to all Fergus’s Family so sad for you all. We are in shock here at Enniscrone Golf Club and will miss his happy smiling face around the club. I met him soon after he arrived and integrated him into two groups to ensure he met people and he did so very easily with his personality.
So sad he did not get much more time in his retirement to enjoy his golf in the West of Ireland. May he rest in peace.
