Truly saddened to hear of Barry's untimely passing. He was a loveable rogue but always a gentleman. Deepest sympathy to his family. May Barry rest in peace.
I did not know Barry personally. However, I recognise him from his photo.
He walked through Seafield, Glenomena, Trimleston and Woodbine very often and always had a word and a chat.
I will be sorry not to see him any longer.
My condolences to his family and friends.
May he rest in peace

Very sorry to learn of Barr's untimely passing. We grew up to-gether in Trimleston Gardens ("Trim"), played soccer and hurling to-gether on the green spaces and tennis on the road, slagged each other's teams and generally enjoyed childhood life. Barr was always great fun and had a wide range of interests, particularly in sport.

We were sad to hear the news of Barry’s passing. He was a friendly neighbour who always said hello to us; and sometimes stopped for a chat. It was lovely to hear about Barry’s life at his funeral mass. The music was beautiful too. Sending our condolences to the Cronin family.

We were long-time next door neighbours to the Cronins in Trimleston and have very good memories of Barry. He was one of the first to sympathise with us when our mother died in 1999. Sincere condolences to Gearóid, Dáibhí and Bren.

Very shocked and saddened to hear of Barry's sudden passing- We have very fond memories of his company over a few pints of Guinness in Gleesons Booterstown for so many years - We always enjoyed the chats with him - he had a lovely charm about him - a proper gentleman - only weakness was his love of Manchester United - the world has lost a great character RIP

Very sad to hear of the passing of Barr. I grew up in Trimleston Gardens just across the road from him and so I knew Barr and his parents and brothers very well. I played football with Barr on both greens in Trimleston. My condolences to Gearóid, Iarla and Brendan.
Knew and liked Barr for >65 years. Great character. Good poker player. Loved football and usually owned the ball when we were kids. His dad was a very erudite Cork man with a deep knowledge of Irish Gaelic culture. Barr's mother Peggy was a friend of my mother and was very well liked. I am grateful to Mary O'Dwyer for letting me know of Barr's passing. There were a lot of really good people in Trimleston. Barr will be missed by his friends, neighbours and the Rock gang. Rest in Peace Barr.

Deepest sympathies to Dáibhí, Gearóid, and Breandán on Barry’s unexpected passing. A lifetime of memories of our trips to Dublin and Barry’s return trips to Macroom are fondly remembered. Some on sad but mostly on joyous occasions. Remembering our conversations spanning from Politics to world wide issues and not forgetting our eternal debates on Man Utd Vs Liverpool over a few pints that could extend late into the night. Will be sadly missed but not forgotten by Myself, Mary and the whole Cronin family in Macroom.
