I was shocked and saddened to hear of Finbarr's death. I hadn't seen him for a while due to the changes in our work in Telecom. I have good memories of him and wish to extend my deepest condolences to his friends and colleagues.
Finbarr was such an intelligent and knowledgeable person, but moreover was very kind. He wasn’t just interested in the world and ideas but also the small details, he cared about the everyday things in our lives and what mattered to us.
He would always remember small details about what I was doing, what I was excited about or stressed about.
He had a great sense of humour and an open heart and was a staple of Dublin City, he will be very much missed.
Wishing him warmth and kindness in his next journey

"I wonder at times why some are chosen to leave so soon.
Then I remember who has left, and I know God must have wanted them home because be missed them." (Unknown author)
We enjoyed so much the holidays we spent together in Ireland and Germany.
And certainly, as well, our long telephone calls where you always showed a great interest in our well- being.
We discussed the books you and we read and we had philosophical discussions not only about Meister Eckhart.
May you rest in peace in Cork near your parents.

Sad to hear about Finbarr's passing. We worked on the same team a few years back.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Finbarr was one of the most perceptive individuals I have had the pleasure of knowing. He was a curious thinker, and a true philosopher at heart. But above all he was a kind and generous human being.
