My deepest condolences to the Beamish family at this very sad time. Mrs. Beamish was my teacher in fourth class in Johnstown. That was 30 odd years ago now. She was my absolute favourite teacher. I have nothing but fond memories of her. She was a wonderful teacher,so warm,caring and always patient. She taught us all the normal academic subjects but she always added in little extra interesting things. I still remember she taught us about paintings in the National Gallery,we learned about a different painting each week. She was able to draw you into the particular piece and make you see it in all its glory. "Goose girl" is still one of my favourite paintings.
I went on to become a teacher myself and I often think of Mrs. Beamish and what a positive experience she had on me as a teacher.
I am keeping her in my thoughts. I know what a difficult time it is for all the family,but I wanted you all to know what a difference she made in my life,and I'm sure so many others.

I have many lovely memories of Mrs. Beamish as my 3rd Class teacher. She was everything you could wish a teacher to be - encouraging, compassionate, caring, and full of fun. She was a wonderful lady. Sincerest condolences to her family, friends and all who loved her.
