When visiting our father in Mystical Rose, Finola always welcomed us with a smile. She was a great worker and loved to tidy up. She always kept the place warm by closing the windows and doors. I remember watching the first two All Irelands that RTE aired in 1962 in the Clinton household on the Croghan road. Unfortunately Roscommon were beaten in the football one that year.

Deepest sympathy to you Bobby,Kevin,Anne and Yvonne on Finola’s passing.When I came to Tuam and took up golf in the 90s Finola became my friend my confidant and my tutor.Being my close neighbour we often visited each other for chats and getting to know this gentle discreet lady was an addition to my life that stood to me to this day. Finola was a great member of Tuam Golf Club where she was Captain and played on many teams who won many major competitions Finola’s illness took her away from her Club all too soon and she was sadly missed by all.Surely there was great excitement on the Fairways of Heaven when she joined her many many friends who had gone before her.Rest in peace dear friend.
