I had many dealings with Fintan particularly in the 1990s early 2000s and always enjoyed our regular meetings in his office. He was very knowledgable, a fountain of wisdom and a great contributor to the development of Carlow town and its environs. He was a visionary who worked hard and gave back massively to his local community and to the development of amateur athletics in the town in particular. His life’s work and legacy are all around us. May Fintan rest in eternal peace. Your work is done.

I was saddened to hear the news and I am really sorry I missed your Fathers' funeral as I did not hear on time. I know how important he was to you.
