It was an honour and a wonderful treasured memory to swim in the sea for cancer and beat the Guinness World Record with you to make up 2505 brave women. You were one of the most brave. Fiona was a a beautiful woman in every way and handled life with energy, positivity and humour. She was an inspiration to me in how she lived life to the full. And when illness came, Fiona's determination, grace and good humour carried her a long way on a difficult journey. So very sorry to learn of Fiona's death. Such a shining example to me and if I could aspire to her philosophy I would be grateful. Although I only met Fiona three or four times I have been with her every step of the way in her courageous fight against this terrible disease through the writing of my dear friend Ann-Marie. Her fortitude, kindness and indomitable spirit an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Dear Fiona, many a wonderful run and race we attended. You came to my 100th Parkrun with your Esker Runners Family and proudly held the certificate. Those boxing gloves at XMas inherited a most powerful fighter, You. May you now run with the Angels in freedom and unconditional love. To your incredible family left behind I send my deepest condolences and I wish to tell them that you Fiona were a most wonderful, and empathetic human being and a most dynamic athlete. We will miss you and honour your memory everytime we run.
