Fiona was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and a truly fantastic vet. There was no end to her knowledge.

Fiona was a lady to her gently, caring fingertips. Rest in peace Fiona, you have made a difference in a lot of lives.

My deepest condolences to James and Andrew on the loss of your amazing mum. I will never forget her. She was the first female vet I encountered and such a fantastic role model for a young girl growing up. I admired her strength, commitment, courage, compassion and kindness. She will be greatly missed.

Sincerest condolences to Andrew , James and extended Hughes/Harrison families on the sad passing of your Mum Fiona R.I.P. Good memories from when we were living there and receiving your Mums post a good bit over the years and dropping it down to her, having the same name. I think she may have received post for me too at times! She will be greatly missed. Also the fact my parents started out in Rose Cottage when they married first and spent many happy years there before moving to Carlow.

Fiona was a marvellous vet with an almost encyclopaedic knowledge about animals. More than that however, she always answered her phone to any query I might throw at her from a customer. I imagine it was difficult for her being a vet as a young lady but she had a steely determination, evidenced no more so than when ill health struck her. I will miss you Fiona. Andrew and James, I am so sorry for your loss .Rest in Peace.
