Dear Ann. So sorry for your loss. Florrie really was a gift and very loved.
I first met Florrie as a teenager. Later, after I moved to NY, we rarely missed a summer without seeing Florrie. Whether it was Bernadette Doorey bring us to visit her , or meeting her in the "city" of Dunmore, it was always a pleasure.
I know my sisters and daughters have very fond memories of her, and I can honestly say her warmth and kindness have lifted my spirits , and I am sure the spirits of many others.
Farewell Florrie. I am sure you and all the other Angel's are sitting around a big, open fire listening to one of your fantastic stories.

Dear Ann, I am so sorry to learn of Florrie's passing. She was a wonderful lady; so entertaining, kind and insightful. She was, I believe, my Dad's (Pat/Paddy) godmother. He was terribly fond of her and always made a point of visiting whenever he returned to the area. A warm welcome in Ballintava was always waiting, and they'd spend hours reminiscing of times past. Her voracious appetite for reading was evident and her ability to engage on a wide variety of contemporary topics was admirable for anyone, not least for someone of her vintage.
