Florrie Bradley
(née Whitmore)

I first met Florrie Bradley 45 years ago when I turned up in Janeville as a youngster from Dublin looking for farming experience. I was the first of many students to benefit from the unique Janeville experience. I stayed a year and later visited whenever I could over the decades. It is not possible to adequately express my gratitude to Florrie and Tom for their welcome, openness, and care. Florrie was a real and elegant lady whose kindness and simple hospitality made a huge impression. My condolences go to the Bradley family wishing them well in the years ahead without Florrie.

My sincere condolences to Elizabeth, Jennifer, Ivor, Christopher and Norman and extended families on the loss of your beautiful mother Mrs Bradley who was my second mother when I stayed in Janeville circa 1983/84. Coming in from the farm after busy days to sumptuous meals and great banter are memories rarely to be forgotten and later on visits to Ballybromel to feel the warmth and welcome. May Florrie rest in peace with Tom now, a cherished Lady.💐

So sorry to hear of your mothers death what a beautiful lovely lady the first time I eat goose was in Bradley’s she enjoyed that as she did cooking delicious cakes for numerous Carlow IFA and all the presidents of IFA when you traveled with Tom he always had the cake tin on the back seat you’d be waiting to see what delights were in store itwas always a pleasure to meet her and she was a wonderful wife and mother a fulll life well lived
