I just wanted to thank you Fr Farrell for everything you did me and my family. When I got pregnant with my first child Rhiana not married you came to my family home and gave us hope. You encouraged me to be brave to carry on and that I wasn't terrible! I am eternally grateful for your help, you told me I would be okay. On behalf of the Weldon family in kingscourt I can only say thank you so much for everything you will be sadly missed xx

Fr Andy was unique. Gifted with : strength of body, mind and character; boundless energy; tremendous vision; superior intellect; riveting oratory - his annual homily on the history of Trim parish was magnificent; extensive knowledge in construction. - his creative legacy is immense. Above all these gifts Fr. Andy was a wonderful pastor to his parishioners- always accessible and so approachable.
He was a steadfast mentor to Trim Church Choir - extending the choir gallery; providing up to date instruments and sound systems; supporting our recordings and the piece de resistance - installing a lift for our conveniences!
We shall not see his like again.
From your place of rest amid the heavenly choirs Fr. Andy remember and pray for us.
Fr Farrell RIP

Rest in Peace Father Andy Our Mom had lovely memories of you as children in Raharney. We were fortunate to have you as our Parish Priest
Fr. Farrell has left behind him in our Parish so many reminders of his time here - reminders that are tangible and visible, in the form of new, renovated or restored buildings, which still serve our community every day. More importantly, he has also left us with memories of a truly charismatic leader, a visionary designer, a creative problem-solver, a tireless worker, and a true friend. Although we are equally blessed in our current Parish Priest, memories of Fr.Farrell's will always live on in Kingscourt, in the hearts and minds of those who were lucky enough to have known him. May his reward in Heaven be great!
With deepest sympathy to all Fr.Farrell's family, and in remembrance of those who have passed on ahead of him, about whom he spoke so frequently and fondly. We were so lucky to have had your brother here with us in Kingscourt for many years - your 'sacrifice' and his, was our very great gain and we will always be grateful to the Farrell family for that. May he rest in peace.
With fondest memories of dear Fr. Farrell, who worked so hard and achieved so much during his years in Kingscourt Parish, and yet had time to attend to all who needed his Spiritual guidance. May he finally reap his well earned and deserved eternal rest and reward.
