I'm so saddened to hear we've lost you Ben but greatly comforted to know you are now beyond all pain and are eternally in Peace. Rest well kind Soul.

My sincere condolences to all of Ben family and friends. I was extremely saddened hear of Ben’s passing. Ben was a huge and very important person in my life. Ben grew up with my mum, Maureen O’ Brien, Sarge O’ Brien’s daughter. Ben christened us, married me and lead my parents funerals. I have many wonderful memories of Ben at our family gatherings, staying up till the early hours, laughing and telling stories. I was lucky enough to stay in touch with him right till he passed. I will miss him and his warm heart, love and wise words. Rest easy lovely man. You’re one of a kind.

It is with great sadness that we learnt today of the death of Fr Ben a few weeks ago. Fr Ben was a great friend to the Cox family in Galway especially my parents Seamus and Chrissie and was a frequent visitor to the family home in Renmore. He was one of the officiants at our wedding in 1996 and we last saw him when he drove up to Galway to attend the funeral mass of my mother in October 2022. We were so happy to have him there that day and he was full of great tales of happy times spent together and brought such comfort to us all. He will be sorely missed by more than he could ever imagine. Fr Ben, thank you for your friendship , may you Rest in Peace in the arms of the Lord.

It is with great sadness I only learned of Fr Ger’s passing after his funeral Mass was celebrated.
He was one of a kind, always left you feeling the better for his conversation & I got to know him through his podiatry visits over the years. He very kindly organised a reference from his hospital bed (unknown to me) last year. He was amused when I told him I would need to frame it due to his sense of wit and wonderful way with words, which meant a lot to me.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Fr.Ben ...He officiated at the wedding of my sister Rose and Brother in law Pat...in Rome in the early 70s...both who passed away in last two years..He visited them regularly at their home in Templeogue...and they both held him in great regard..and loved his visits...May his Gentle Soul Rest in Peace..

Fond memories of a lovely man, who had a great sense of fun. He was a great friend to my Uncle Mike (Fr Chris Fitzgerald) He always supported us when Uncle Mike wasn't in Ireland for Happy and sad family occasions. We loved reading his letters at Christmas . May Fr Ben rest in peace .

Father Ger was an incredible man and I have very fond memories of him visiting me and my family in Damerstown when I was growing up and in subsequent years at every family wedding, christening and funeral. In more recent times his support, despite his own failing health of my Dad Liam in his final months and in the days following his passing are cherished by my mum and the rest of my family. Fr Ger was a wise man and he touched the hearts of many. May he rest in peace. x

Father I will miss you a lot, I loved spending time with you . I miss our conversations and your witty humour . Rest in Peace and I know you will be in heaven smiling at us all .
