Sincere condolences to Marie and extended family. He was a wonderful man and i thoroughly enjoyed our chats in the house in St Pauls. He was true kind spirit and the world has gained an angel ! May Fr Bernard rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Bernard's passing, he was such a gentle, kind and caring gentleman who gave so much of his life to others especially his beloved family and sister Marie.
The service was very moving, fitting and described Bernard perfectly
including a very warm and heartfelt tribute from Marie.
Bernard may he now rest in peace.

Bernard was such a pillar of the family. He was a presence in my life from as far back as I can remember and his calm demeanor and insightful comments and wisdom will be sorely missed. I wish I'd told him how much I valued conversation with him but I hope he already knew. Rest in Peace.

Dear Marie, family friends and fellow Vincentians and colleagues.

My friendship with Fr. Meade goes back 50 years plus when he first came to New York, I taught him how to be a New Yorker and thrive and survive at it. He was a fast learner and a great teacher. We had a discussion on the
European Union and he summed it up with the thought that Germany will make it happen. The whole discussion was 5 minutes long and a tight cogent presentation. I was amazed. He had a dry, droll sense of humor that left me laughing out loud. His timing was perfect. He loved people, students and chocolate. He taught me how to appreciate the deep layers of flavor.

Marie I know you will miss Bernard so very much... Please tell the stories and smile in remembrance. His voice and smile will never leave you. I join with all how loved and will miss him. He was good and gentle loving man. RIP

Bernard was such a treasured family member. His reassuring presence & care for us all will be greatly missed.

I was saddened to learn of Fr. Meade's passing.
Fr. Meade was a fountain of knowledge and represented all that's best in humanity. He enriched and made the world a better place with his multiple talents and gifts. I was privileged to have worked under his leadership for many years. He truly was one of life's Visionaries
and to witness him at work was to witness genius. Unique to Fr. Meade, all was done in a spirit of humility, generosity and gentleness.
My sincere sympathy to his sister, Marie, Vincentian Confreres and to Staff at St. Paul's College, to his cousins, many colleagues and friends.

So sorry to hear of Fr Meade's passing. He was always friendly, courteous and affable. He often came over to the school from the house and was always ready for a chat and a laugh on the corridor. He was particularly interested in Business/Finance and Economic matters. He never lost touch with the school and was always interested in how the students were performing.

I remember the day Bernard took holy orders. He entered the priesthood after he had left his Mother and sister financially stable. He had been an accountant which was almost preordained (pardon the pun) as he became the bursar of the Vincentians. He was always there for us. Married, blessed and baptized two of my children. Always interesting until the end in politics, history and people. He will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace Bernard.

I was saddened to learn of Fr Bernard's passing. As priest and teacher he was dedicated to his students and skilled in the art of mentoring the young. As one competent in matters of finance and economics he was generous in the giving of his time and expertise to the Archdiocese of Dublin.
