Two months gone already and I still you miss you and think of you every day. I miss our chats about the old days of acting in the pantos and stage shows and all great milestones and occasions we shared as friends in the parish. You were unique and the most compassionate kind person I ever knew. Rest in peace my precious friend until we meet again ❤️

So sad to hear of Fr. Brendan's passing. He was wonderful, since the early days in St. Fergal's, Bray with the folk group and over the years, during our family's funerals and weddings, he was always kind and supportive, always influencing good, the right direction, in his own unique way and with his own unique and wonderful sense of humour. Sincere condolences to the Scully family and to the Franciscan community.

Deepest Sympathies to Fr.Brendan's family and friends on his sad passing.
I first met Fr.Brendan at a Feis in Bray as a child, i had been instructed by my mother(one of the Cooney clan) to make sure and find him and tell him i was his cousin, which i did and he made a great fuss of me. We then had the honour of Fr. Brendan officiating at our wedding in Wexford. He made it so special and plenty of good humoured fun and jibes aimed at my Kerry husband. We exchanged letters over the years and he was a very dear and special person in our life. May Fr. Brendan rest in peace.

In the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit. Such a sad passing of Fr Brendan, a true asset to the setting of holiness. Blessed are the settings of Fr Brendan’s work settings. Amen
It’s so wonderful to read all of the beautiful comments about Father Brendan in his earlier time in Ireland. We were blessed to have Brendan at our parish in Brussels (St Anthony). This was his last parish duty prior to returning to Ireland. Brendan always ended Sunday mass with a call out to anyone in the congregation who was celebrating their birthday that week. The young and old would troop up to the altar and the entire parish would sing happy birthday and Brendan would pull out a bag full of candy bars and hand them out. As Gerard so eloquently wrote above Brendan tried to get us focused on the fact that we are all unique and there is no one else like us, and to celebrate that fact, and thank god for what we have. Thank you Brendan for bringing so much joy into our little community.
My sympathies to Brendan’s family and friends. He was kind to me over many years and beloved by my late husband Michael. Rest easy Brendan.

Our sincere condolences to the Scully family.
Fr Brendan made St Fergals parish. His family mass was always bursting at the seams. If I remember correctly he was the first to introduce girls as alter servers. He had a fantastic connection with the whole community.
My fondest memories are of him as a fellow scout leader. Always there to support the group and always willing to go on hikes and camps. We travelled to Dingle, Galway and Liverpool to name but a few.
He was also a dear friend to my late parents.
May he rest in eternal peace.
