So sad to hear of the passing of Fr O'Brien. We have great memories of him performing our wedding ceremony in Drogheda on the eve of St Oliver being canonised. In his words the church was like Croke Park with so many visitors to St Oliver's Shrine. Gone but not forgotten. RIP Fr O'Brien

So sorry to hear about the the death of Fr. O'Brien, or Fr. Christy as my late Mother called him and of whom she spoke so fondly of. I enjoyed meeting him over the years when he visited in the Lourdes Hospital, and Ardee would always feature in our conversations, he never forgot his roots. Such a gentleman..
